I <3 ICR

03 Jul 2010 at 18:05

After, probably two years of not bothering with ICR, I can't get enough now! (to be fair it was mostly wet the past two years)

I channeled the Samuri in my to ace it twice (at speedish) perfect line, perfect grip, only lost the back end once, much better than Thursday when I *almost died* (not quite, but it was sketch to the max) today couldn't have been more awesome.

Shame Belmont Climb was a pitiful 9:40 into a complete **** of a headwind.

I guess I should have a bash at WCCCD again, now the dirt's been bonded together again.

I haven't ridden down the ICR on a proper bike in such a long time. Last few times have been with 150mm suspension - king of flattens the whole thing out :)

I expect it does, I do have to hit the shallower lines, but I expect on FS it's the same line as everything not shallow moves around.

It's a million times better after some rain, though, I don't go down sideways :)

I'm not a massive fan of ICR
On a rigid it scares the hell out of me - well it did in '94 not tried again since.
Hardtail still scary but some semblance of control.
FS fun finally starts to surpass the fear.
Burly(ish) FS a pretty good laugh, with only a 20% chace of dying :-)

I don't see the point of doing it FS, it'll be almost flat and you don't need to pick a line.

the only problem with rigids is if you're faced with a big stone, you either ram it and get over or stop dead.
