Best Crash Ever

13 Sep 2009 at 22:03

Proper Moto Style low side: hammer across the rocks, left, up and around the gate post, immediately flick right BANG rear wheel hits an unseen fist size rock, wheel rolls rock, wheel starts to overtake front end, foot cannot save, bar end hits the ground, pedal follows, sliiiiide STOP... sitting on ground laughing.

The inside of my left knee and shoe dragged along the ground, as I tried to save things, nice bit of missing material from both, nice long rubber line marks the concrete. ace.. all very tidy with a lot of noise and scraping... best crash ever.

And another reason toe-bumper less shoes are rubbish which pushed me away from Mavic for 2010. Next year's kicks will be (unimpressive drumroll) Shimano and Northwave. Some of the Shimano range avoids the problems this year's models had, and the Northwaves look ace, both probbaly under 80quid.
