Did I Just Run a PB?

05 Jul 2008 at 10:54

Left at :57 (might have been :58) back at :35:30 (after removing my sodden outerwear on on the doorstep) - so take a minute off that. :57:00 - :34:30 = 37:30.

I have my worries that I set off at :47 not :58, but the church bells were ringing and surely they wouldn't start them 13minutes early, and I'm sure I looked at the other clock and the hands were nearer 0 then :45.

I really need a new watch battery.

I'd actually kitted up for a ride, thankfully, it started to rain as soon as I looked out of the window, 10 minutes later and it was hammering down, so, despite losing a ride, I saved a set of pads and all the anger associated with riding bad weather.. again.. plus it was blowing at about 30mph before it started to rain.

The question remains: did I do a PB?

Distance: 6.96miles - Time: 37:30? - I'd like to work out a flatish* 10k route, so I can gauge my time better, there's Preston sports arena, which I think costs £3.50 for a day pass, which might be worth a go at some stage - and seems to be the closest /good/ track in the local area.

* my current route is quite flat, but still has 423ft of climbing, which sucks a lot of time. - perhaps running to Cowling along the canal would be flat, presuming there's suitable towpath, which I assume there as as Simon used to ride to work that way.

Yeah, that'd be fine along there for a run Matt.

Cheers, looks like the flattest 10k I can make, pretty much bang on if I go on at White Bear and turn under the bridge at Cowling.
