Sure that's not from the hose when you turn the bars?

I take it the paint on your knee has been rubbed off and it's bare metal too?

How is it possible to rub the paint off with your knee? My knees don't tend to come into contact with the top tube when I'm pedalling!

Hose damage that is.

In a 1000miles?

I'd go knee on hose on frame damage.

You aren't supposed to ride with your knee rubbing the frame Matt ;0)

It's not hose damage at all, I dunno, why do people have to question facts?

KNEE

I can't help hitting the frame with my knee, Tom, I'm squeezing every Watt of power out of myself and the frame gets in the way (only happens on climbing BTW)

Actually, in about 500 miles time I can post an image and then Tom and Dan will be right, as I'm now pushing the hose into the frame with my knee, and LOADS of paint's worn off in the last 120 miles!

You need a girls bike with a dropped top tube then.
