Sore One

15 Mar 2008 at 13:47

Boy did my legs ache for the first 60% of today's ride, only really coming back to being any good on the biggest and slowest climb of the day.

No agenda for the ride, just, ride and get home about midday, try not to get annoyed at the increasingly messed up landscape (4x4 and motorcrossers).

Front pads died really quickly this week probably due to thursday's ride, forks are flappig a lot, I think the headset's on it's way out. The inbred is now 1000 miles old, so I'm not really surprised.

Now I'm loading up on protein and carbs in the hope of not being pre-knackered for tomorrow's ride.

I am reloading with flapjacks and crisps :)

Rear hub in my pompino needs new bearings. Only done 4000km. Nothing is made to last these days :(

4000km mostly road miles too :(
I guess there's been a fair bit of water poured into them, though, and cartridge bearing's really aren't very weatherproof.

It is my wet/shitty weather bike, nothing else has worn out though. BB and cog are still perfectly fine.
