Despite telling myself that wasn't going to ride today - I did.
First I needed to put some non-dead pads into the rear brake, not a hard job, I liberated my only set from the brake on the pipedream and threw them in. At the same time putting some pads into the front brake.. job done. then I set off, pulled the rear lever and SPLURT all the brake juice flew out all over the rotor, cause: the edge of the piston had snapped off. Swiftly threw the pads back intp the other brake and the brake onto the 29er. an hour's worth of dicking about and I could ride.
The ride was stupid windy.

I still can't believe how much stuff you destroy, it's madness.
I hardly touched my brakes today. Downhill was all into the wind which did the braking for me.

Yeah I didn't brake much today, only before the really bumpy parts.
yesterday was crazy down AICR, massive direct tailwind, flowing inch of water and no brakes. Oh and no vision, lucky it was a Friday so less chance of skittling people.

Hi, I've just been looking at your blog as I ride at Rivington a lot and was wondering where the AICR (I'm assuming that is Alternative Ice Cream Run) Actually is?
Thanks
