Mine's really cool, the bell box was broken, and after 15mins of multimetering and trying to power it with an external power adaptor, I just thought 'sod this' and connected the bell wires to the probes of the multimeter and flicked it into continuity test mode, so when the bell button is pressed the meter squeals!

I ordered a new bell, but it's not arrived, probably been scammed on eBay.

Yes.
Door bells are rubbish, however, having to drive to an undetermined location to pick up a large package is more rubbish.
