43.1

07 Oct 2007 at 11:23

43.1 miles this morning, I'd have gone a bit longer but the Roadster kept freaking out. It got so bad from Rivington to the Lower Barn that I had to stop twice to check the back end hadn't snapped as the back end was waggling around as if I were riding though wet sand.

I think I'll just replace the frame with a PX Superlight. There MUST be something intrinsically wrong with the Roadster to make it so unpredictable, the only differences between this year and last year are: wind speed, ride speed.

I'm very unconfident that all road bikes aren't shit, so spending the best part of 700 quid on a frame to find out all roadbikes are uncontrollable in the wind isn't really an appealing idea.

Yeah, but you're not as light as me.. so we can't compare, although, I expect that it is a lot less scary than mine at speed... hence the 'get a superlight' and basically start again.

Superlight's dirt cheap.
