Sky+ Is Addictive

12 Sep 2007 at 17:22

This is day seven of having Sky+.. and It's freaking *AWESOME*

I've managed to fill up half of the 160Gb drive already, mostly /because I can/... I've used it to record and watch TWENTY TWO and HALF hours of NFL! Thankfully, NFL coverage drops down 2 games a week for most of the rest of the season.

After going though THREE crappy freeview boxes in 18 months, SKY+ is everything I want, and more, and, touch wood, it's recorded everthing I've asked it too, which is something the Freeview Humax box couldn't manage more than twice a year. I was also amazed to find I can record two channels and watch back a previous recording all at the same time... It's amazing how many times you find yourself doing this.

Brilliant bit of kit... I love it. I can even program it to record things via the web, so I don't even have to bother walking the.. gosh... 20ft from my desk to the living room TV!

Pure aceness.

The only downside is you're giving money to Rupert Murdock, which is apparently a bad thing, but I don't care, I've got a million channels of crap to watch for 35quid a month.

Sky+ does rock but I only have the 80gb version. And it's no where near half full!

I don't have an NFL obsession though :P

Indeed!

I will watch the Superbowl live on BBC for free. It's the only game that matters :)

No you won't you'll complain it's on too late and not watch it.

I'm surprised BBC have bought the rights.
