Yes, but what's the point when this one only lasted 700 miles? the next will probably also last 700 miles and cost money.

Very true. I can't see you putting up with it for long, reckon you'll get the Cham going again.
You could send the frame to a frame builder and get the shock replaced with a metal tube :)

You're probably right on all counts, I want to get the cham working again soon as it's very very very flickable, which is nice this time of year (when the ground's grippy)

has that shock really got that little travel - i cant see a shaft at all, or is it completely locked down ?

Of course it has that little travel it's a softtail, not a full sus.

its not locked down, as it locks UP.
