That's That Done.

13 Aug 2007 at 15:25 Filed Under:
KHS Solo One Single Speed Rivington

Today I finished the 'ride for a year' thingy, it seems to have been 366* days, not sure how that works, but that's what the computer says, anyway, 13th Aug 06 was the last day I didn't ride, so today is the end of a complete year, no matter how you look at it.

KHS Solo One Single Speed Rivington

In typical fashion, I got rained on, the wind was blowing at about 20mph and I ripped another bead from another NBX and got the tube to explode like a gunshot - ace - It happened just as I was climbing to the Pike for the second time, so I decended on an entirely flat tyre, and did my best to protect the new tube from exploding.

There was a smelly dead sheep I had to pass twice- too, that wasn't too nice, I could taste the decaying matter in the air.

Boring stats coming later on about my year of cycling.

* oh I see it was rounding up the hours.

Bring on the stats.

Well done that man, that is truly crazy.

So is the next 12 months DIY every day?

HA no. I think I'll spend 12 months eating cake

Wow. 2 targets in one year!

15:35 13 Aug

3 if you include the 'ride over 10,000 miles' one (which I never set, but I never set a 'ride everyday for a year' one either.

Nice one. I only managed two days of my "ride for 30 days target"...

Day off tomorrow?

Put some air in your tyres or run something with decent sidewalls..........

Oh well done ;0)

matthttp://mattmagic.com

21:12 13 Aug

You can't run too much air around here or you just spend you whole time with the rear wheel bouncing into the air.

Wider rims tyres with a stronger sidewall and latex then should sort you out.

21:24 13 Aug

Latex shorts or boob tube?

I think that riding every day for a complete calandar year would be good.

matthttp://mattmagic.com

14:31 15 Aug

I do not, and that sounds like it would cost too much money.

15:16 15 Aug

I didn't dare suggest it. Sort of assumed it'd happen though. Afterall there are only 4 full months to go and the weather can't stay like this...

Well yes, the weather might improve in November, it's a long time til then though.
