New Shooooes!

28 Mar 2007 at 15:40
Specilized Carbon Pros

The only problem with buying bargain ride shoes (Specialized Carbon Pros - or something) in the end-of-season sales is you have to wait 5 months to use them.

Initial impressions are : The sole seems a little soft as they've already lost a bit of material, they feel very stiff though, I can feel my bottom bracket and pedals falling apart with every pedal stroke.

When you put your new shoes on, suddenly did everything seem alright?

Too much Radio One in the office.

15:53 28 Mar

/looks blankly at Owen.

16:21 28 Mar

Lost on me as well!

16:24 28 Mar

I expect it's a "Young Person" thing.

"Hey, I put some new shoes on,
and suddenly everything is right"

Paolo Nutini - New Shoes
Currently number 22 in the hit parade.

17:21 28 Mar

Yep, you were correct Matt.

17:36 28 Mar

People still *buy* 7inches?
Wow, I thought it was all about stealing though Napster these days.

I bloody hate that song.

12:38 29 Mar

I need a new summer helmet - giro Xen in mat black or fox flux in black camo - please help - ps who listens to the radio these days??

12:44 29 Mar

The Flux looks mint and only 69.99, I was thinking about a red and white one.

12:54 29 Mar

I've got 10% off at MX1 that like £7 off - it looks better than the xen - not sure about the spoiler at rear -

16:07 29 Mar

it'll keep you from ... erm..
it stops... erm....
no it looks daft ;)

21:55 29 Mar

Bell sweep really nice indeed my new head gear and so far more comfortable than either Giro or Specialized products I've had.

22:59 29 Mar

Yup. I've got a Bell Sweep XC, it fits me perfectly.

23:21 29 Mar

The only helmet that's ever really fitted me properly is the £25 specialized one I have at the moment. Been looking for a replacement for ages, can't find owt :(

Is your RSS feed borked Matt or is it just me?

10:09 30 Mar

It's just you

10:54 30 Mar

It works now, I reckon you mended it.

12:07 30 Mar

It's always worked, unlike RSS comment feeds from Wordpress powered blogs which only seem to update when there is a full moon and a Q in the month.

12:07 30 Mar

It was working, but I changed it anyway, your RSS reader's probably crap.

For those interested, it was to do with htmlentities.

12:19 30 Mar

I don;t subscribe to other people's comment feeds, I don't see the need, really. I only have this one so I can massage my ego by seeing how many of my fans love me.

12:26 30 Mar

Yeah, wordpress is crap. Only seems to update comments when a new topic is posted.

12:35 30 Mar

That's not very good, it must rebuild them and cache them.. maybe everytime someone logs into the admin?

That's something I should do on this site actually.. time to get coding :)
