MOT IKEA other things in CAPITAL LETTERS

03 May 2012 at 20:08

So, the annual 'I hope nothing is wrong' visit to the MOT place went off without a hitch, 30 quid in and out, done, woo. (I've not mentioned the bit where I got lost in Liverpool on the way - but two wrong turns make a right (well a left) and I reconnected with my intended route)

Then.. to IKEA via Cheshire Oaks.. the latter - I am disappoint, I was expecting good prices from outlet stores.. W R O N G, almost normal price, nothing exciting, might as well use the internet.. onto IKEA. I really had no idea where I was going from a new direction. Point at Warrington from the M56 and hope.. it worked.. I was quite amazed.. go me.

Checked some sofas out, narrowed it down to two styles, bum approved. Drove home, everyone on the motorway driving like it was their first day on earth.

Phoned to renew car in insurance, man tells me it's 40 quid less than on the letter they sent me 2 weeks ago.. that never happens, parallel universe entered, quite like it...

My ears are burning

30 Apr 2012 at 11:57

Wind + Sun = tops of ears burning like crazy.

Last day of April, and, wow, what a terribly weathered month. Before you all say 'well it is April, April showers and all that, Spring time, is wet, blah blah blah" shut your mouths, you wanted a nice April, too, not one which was 75% rain, 50% wind and almost 100% cold.

On the other hand, I rode a bike a quite a few times (not the correct bike, but a bike none-the-less), did a couple of long runs, didn't destroy the planet and rediscovered Brie on crumpets. So not a terrible month, but May.. (shouts) MAY! pay attention.. you better be warmer.

First post of 2012... lazy

23 Apr 2012 at 17:08

Well it seems appropriate that in the 4th month of 2012 I comment about there being a scant four posts in 2011

Will that chance now? erm.. possibly, possibly not, Twitter really has taken over as the place where I blurt out my amazing insights into the world around me, if you're not following me you're not really missing out to be completely honest.

So what's up then? well I've been riding the Pompino recently (finally), it's actually good fun, until you ride into the scenery like I did this morning (too fast on a rocky/muddy trail, missed the corner buy about 3 ft) - It's squealing brakes are a bit off putting, but quite useful for alerting people to imminent arrival of an barely controlled velocycle.

Other: not much really some stuff here and there, probably get back on a mountain bike at the end of the week, then I enjoy being able to stop properly and not worry about ending upside-down every ten seconds.

That is all for now.
